Surprised? I didn’t think so.
Billionaire financier George Soros, whose opposition to President Bush’s conduct of the war on terror caused him to pour millions of dollars into the effort to defeat the president, made a substantial donation to the defense fund for radical lawyer Lynne Stewart, who last week was found guilty of giving aid to Islamic terrorists.
Turns out his money appears to have purchased an extremely light sentence for traitor Stewart.
Stewart, 67, could have faced up to 30 years in prison. She smiled as the judge announced his decision to send her to prison for less than 2 1/2 years.
Could have faced up to 30 years in prison? Why not a firing squad? Ridiculous. Haemet Yeshachrer Otcha has the story of Jonathan Pollard who was convicted of spying in the US for Israel and to date has already served 20 years. Did I fail to mention that Israel is a friend to the United States? A friend who does not want to destroy our nation. But Stewart’s lawyer pleaded:
“If you send her to prison, she’s going to die. It’s as simple as that,” defense lawyer Elizabeth Fink had told the judge before the sentence was pronounced.
So, just shoot her and spare her the prison time — she doesn’t deserve prison.
