This is a live webcam of the South Pass. On Thursday, June 7, 2007, there’s snow. Not sure what you’ll see if you are looking at this on another day and time. By the way totaltranformation, I’m sure that pass between Cheyenne and Laramie is looking very similar right now. Are you up for that? ![]()

I am glad I am down here in Palm Beach County, It is 83 degrees, clear and wonderful. The Ocean and Intercostal look great from my computer perch. …….. Next Stop Lauderdale

Sounds wonderful Steve! I made my husband start a fire when I was home for lunch — I have a feeling it could dip down in the 30s here tonight. Hello? Calling Global Warming ….

Hi w,
Keep this sort of thing up, and I’ll have to add you to my Global Warming Deniers list
the Grit

Hey Grit,
I had pressed the submit button before your comment made it through. A little Global Warming would feel mighty good right about now!

They closed Beartooth pass today because of white stuff and visibility. Also there is some sort of community clean-up day that has been scheduled twice and twice canceled, the most recent (today), a cancellation until further notice due to weather.
If anyone out there wants to add me to their list of global warming deniers, I would be honored to be present on such a list.

That is a very beautiful picture (seriously), but I’m happy to say I’m viewing it from hot and sunny Texas.
P.S. I’ve probably mentioned this before, but I love the Will Rogers quote in your banner. That is timeless and priceless.

Hey Scott –
I think I need to be added to Grit’s Global Warming deniers list too. You just can’t live in this state and believe that science

Hi Neil,
Well, it looks like the snow might be starting to melt. Therefore, I’m going to have to get another post up soon, as that picture will be dark before long.
Will Rogers knew exactly what he was talking about when he said what he did.

Hey Mom,
Why didn’t you tell everybody about the “snow” you saw over lunch today in our backyard? Haha. The time when I was standing in the other room and you were like, “Snow! Snow! It’s snowing!” And then I walked back to the window and there was nothing? Maybe a raindrop? Tell everybody about that!
Love you!

Somebody sounds a little bitter that it stopped snowing before she could get to the window to see it. How’s that saying go? Oh yeah, if you snooze, you lose

Ah I had a beautiful day here at the pool in Ohio
Man, Snow, I like it, but I couldn’t deal with it in June :)! I think wyoming is so beautiful though. I can’t imagine looking at the scenery there and not believing in God.

Hi MZ,
Yes, snow in June can be strange, but truthfully, the weather, at least in the town I live in, is awesome. It is kind of an exception to have a fire burning in the fireplace during the first week of June. In the summer our daytime temps average from 80 - 90, but with no humidity. Then, at night them temps fall down in the 40s and 50s. Ideal stuff!

Ok I confess. I would love living in Wyoming. Seriously. All of that wide open space. Where I am, is wall to wall people and ugh! traffic to match.
I echo MommyZab’s comment…
“I can’t imagine looking at the scenery there and not believing in God.”
Amen.

Well, you should at least visit this gorgeous state Velvet
. It does spoil a person. Tieki Rae really loves coming home from college to the wide open country.

Wyoming is such gorgeous country. I am still stuffing our outside wood furnace daily up here… in the upper 30’s frequently still at night.
I would pay big $$$ for a couple of feet of snow here, at least in the mountains so I could go climb them on the mountain sled. To me, Spring is not about plant rebirth, it’s about the painful death of my Winter snows…
OK, everyone doesn’t have to agree…

Hi DI,
Sounds like Global Warming hasn’t found you yet either?

I visited Green River twice, driving in from the SLC airport. The drive across Utah and through WY looked preety much like that. Amazing and beautiful. Rolling hills, small buttes, open sky all around.
Where’s South Pass in relation to Green River or Rock Springs?
June 8, 2007 at 1:01 pm
Hi benning,
Without looking at map, I’s say that South Pass is North and a little east of Green River, and just north of Rock Springs.
Thanks for dropping in!
