Ted’s dad went home to be with the Lord early this morning. He was blessed to be at home with his wife of 59 years and two daughters as he made his journey to heaven. He had turned 87 years old on July 4th.
Therefore, we will be back to traveling again and I’ll be in the process of figuring out how and where to bring Tieki Rae back to. The services will be in southwest KS.
I look forward to returning and will see you all when I get back.
dang…
Sure sorry to hear of Ted’s Father passing.
I lost my dad long ago, and can relate to the sense of loss.
God Rest His Soul, and God Bless His Family.
A tune for y’all.
Hey no2liberals — thanks much. The song is awesome.

Tammi,
My love to you & your family. Very sorry to hear about your loss, although it sounds as if Ted’s dad had lived a wonderful life (and, of course, produced your husband!).
Thanks so much Bridget. Yes, he lived a very wonderful life. Ted is the youngest of 5 children.

Can you tell us about him, Ted, when things settle down so us internet neighbors can know him too?

My sympathy to you all. May God comfort your hearts in the Savior’s love during the difficult days.

My sympathies to you and your family. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that Dad didn’t leave completely – I still hear him talking to me in certain situations. I hear what he would say were he here – usually, considering my father, it is a funny comment on whatever is going on. As long as we can remember them, they are still here!
May God be with you in the next few days – it is a trying time for sure.

Thanks Jeffro. It will be quite an adjustment for the family. I don’t understand how someone like Ted’s mom can get through something like this after being married to the same person for 59 years — but I don’t have to, because I know God gives the grace needed to get us through.
It’s hard to imagine that it’s been almost four years since we’ve been back in southwest KS, but we’ll be heading there Monday, after picking our daughter up from the Denver airport Sunday night.
